Advocate

What makes us different

We'll deal with the technology for you.

Most companies ask what's wrong with your device. We ask what you're trying to accomplish — then we go do it, on the phone, on hold, on your behalf.

  • Calling your internet or phone company
  • Navigating Apple, Google, and Amazon support
  • Booking doctor appointments in patient portals
  • Disputing a charge or cancelling a subscription
  • Recovering a locked Apple or Google account
  • Setting up telehealth visits before they start

Support

Keep your technology working.

When the printer won't print or the email won't send, you call one number and a patient human sorts it out — however long it takes.

  • Locked-out account recovery
  • New device setup and transfers
  • Phones, tablets, and computers
  • Software updates and backups
  • Wi-Fi, printers, and smart TVs
  • Unhurried, plain-English coaching
Tech Peace Scam Check

Before you click, ask Tech Peace.

One rule is all you need to remember: if you are not sure, do not click it — send it to us. There is no such thing as a silly question here, and there is no limit on how often you ask.

Four ways to send it

  • Forward the email to us
  • Text us a photo of the screen
  • Send a screenshot
  • Call and read it to us

You get one of three plain answers — usually within the hour:

  • Safe

It is what it claims to be. Carry on — and here is how we could tell.

  • Suspicious

We cannot confirm it. Do not reply; we will check it properly with you.

  • Scam — do not respond

A known scam pattern. Delete it, block them, and we will check nothing was clicked.

Members get unlimited scam checks. If you are not a member and something is worrying you right now, call anyway — we will not charge you to look at one message.

The point is not that the internet is dangerous — it is that the people targeting older adults have gotten organised and convincing, while the rest of us are still figuring it out alone. Want to know where you stand? , or read Five Ways to Stay Safe Online.

How protected are you, really?

Ten plain statements. Answer each one honestly and we will show you a Protection Score out of 100, tell you which specific gaps stood out, and explain what each one means for your safety online.

A few of the statements:

  • I've been scammed before, or came very close to being scammed. (Yes / No)
  • I often see videos or content online and can't tell whether it's real or fake. (Agree / Disagree)
  • I don't always have access to help the moment I have a tech problem. (Agree / Disagree)

It opens right here — you will not lose this page. We ask for your name, email, and phone at the end so we can send your written results and answer any questions. No password, no payment, no obligation.

How it works

What happens when you call

No pressure, no jargon, and no commitment on the first call. Here is exactly how it goes.

  1. 1

You call, or we call you

A real person answers — no menus. Tell us what is going on in your own words. This first conversation is free and there is nothing to sign.

  2. 2

We figure out what is actually needed

Sometimes it is a five-minute settings change. Sometimes it is a full security review. We will tell you honestly which, including when the answer is "you do not need us".

  3. 3

We fix it with you, not at you

Remotely or in your home, you stay in control and you see everything we do. We explain each step in plain English, as many times as you like.

  4. 4

    You get it in writing

A plain-English summary of what we did and what changed. If your family is involved, they can receive a high-level Peace of Mind Report — with your permission, and never your passwords.

Our security promise

Trust is the product, so we put the rules in writing

Inviting someone into your digital life is a serious thing. These are the standards we hold ourselves to — and they are also how you can tell a real Tech Peace technician from someone impersonating one.

We will never

  • Ask you to tell us a password
  • Ask you to transfer money, ever
  • Ask for gift cards or cryptocurrency
  • Ask for access to your financial accounts unless you need help and are present
  • Make a purchase without your explicit say-so
  • Install monitoring software without your consent
  • Pressure you into buying something
  • Use scare tactics to sell you security

If someone does any of the above and claims to be from Tech Peace, they are not. Hang up and call our main number yourself.

Every Tech Peace technician

  • Passes a background check before their first visit
  • Shows verifiable company identification
  • Follows a documented, written security procedure
  • Uses audited remote-access software only
  • Asks permission before touching any device
  • Records what was done in every session, in plain English
  • Takes the least access needed to solve the problem

On passwords: we help you manage your credentials without ever knowing them. You type them; we look away. If you want a password manager, you hold the master password — not us.

Digital Safety Checkup

A home security inspection — for your digital life

You would not guess whether your locks work. We go through your devices, accounts, and settings methodically, then hand you a written report with a score and a short list of what to fix first.

What we look at

  • Devices

Phone, tablet, computer, smart TV, router, and anything else connected.

  • Accounts

Apple or Google, email, social media, banking, shopping, healthcare portals.

  • Security

Two-step verification, passwords, recovery options, updates, backups, screen locks.

  • Scam exposure

Suspicious apps and extensions, spam volume, risky contacts, forgotten subscriptions.

  • Privacy

Location sharing, app permissions, social media visibility, shared accounts.

You stay at the keyboard. We never take a password, and you can stop the session at any point. Everything we change, we write down.

What you get

Tech Peace Score

72/ 100

Needs attention
  • Critical: Email account has no two-step verification
  • Important: Phone software is two versions out of date
  • Important: Same password used on three shopping accounts
  • Good: Automatic photo backup is working
  • Good: Screen lock and emergency contacts set up

Illustrative example. Your report lists every finding, in plain English, with what we recommend doing about each one and roughly how long it takes.

Sound familiar?

You shouldn’t have to be the family IT department

If you are the one who gets the call about every pop-up and every strange email, this is what we take off your plate. And if you are the one making those calls, this is what we give you instead.

  • "Something popped up on my computer."

A warning fills the screen with a phone number to call. Now there are two questions: is it real, and who do I ask?

  • "I got an email from Apple about my account."

It has the right logo and the right tone. It might be genuine. Clicking to find out is exactly the wrong way to check.

  • "I can't figure out how to book the appointment."

The doctor's office says to use the portal. The portal wants a password that was set up two years ago by someone else.

  • "I hate to keep bothering you with this."

The hardest part for many older adults is not the technology — it is feeling like a burden to the family member they keep calling.

Tech Peace becomes the number they call first. See how it works for families.

Straight answers

Questions people ask before they call

If your question is not here, call and ask. We would rather answer it now than have you wonder.

How do I know I can trust a Tech Peace technician in my home or on my computer?
Every technician passes a background check before their first visit, carries Tech Peace identification you can verify by calling our main number, and follows a written security procedure. We ask permission before touching any device, we take only the access needed to solve the problem, and you receive a plain-English summary of what was done in every session. We will never ask you to tell us a password.
Will you ever ask me for my passwords?
No. Not once, not for any reason. When a password is needed, you type it yourself while we look away or pause screen sharing. If you would like help getting organised, we will set up a password manager that only you hold the master password to. Anyone claiming to be from Tech Peace who asks for a password is not from Tech Peace — hang up and call us directly.
I am not very good with technology. Will you be patient with me?
That is the entire job. We do not rush, we do not use jargon, and we are glad to explain something three times. Many of our clients tell us they have avoided asking for help because they felt embarrassed. There is nothing embarrassing about this — the devices are genuinely confusing, and they were not designed with you in mind.
Do you work remotely, or do you come to the house?
Both. Most problems are solved over the phone or through a secure screen-sharing session where you can see everything we do and end it instantly at any time. For device setup, Wi-Fi, printers, and smart TVs, in-home visits are available in select metro areas. Call us and we will tell you honestly which is better for your situation.
What does it cost?
Memberships start at $29 a month, which covers unlimited phone and email support, scam checks, and everyday troubleshooting. Larger one-time projects are quoted up front, in writing, before any work begins. The first conversation is free and carries no obligation — we would rather tell you that you do not need us than sell you something you do not.
Are you going to try to sell me things I do not need?
No, and we have made that a written rule. We do not use scare tactics, we do not work on commission, and we do not make purchases on your behalf without your explicit say-so. If a free setting change solves your problem, we will make the change and tell you there is nothing to buy.
